Human Factors Integration Defence Technology Centre (HFI DTC) |

The Human Factors Integration Defence Technology Centre (HFI DTC) - conducts human-centred research over a broad range of military domains. The HFI DTC research programme, led by Aerosystems International, focuses on the integration of Human Factors across the Ministry of Defence (MOD) procurement cycle. Our partners are from defence industrial and academic organisations including Lockheed Martin UKIS, MBDA, SEA Ltd and the Universities of Birmingham, Brunel, and Cranfield (Bedfordshire & Shrivenham sites). Southampton University will be joining the core HFI DTC team from April 2009.
2008 ended on a positive note for the HFI DTC team with the announcement by the MOD of a £5m contract extension. The new research programme, which will run from April 2009 until September 2010, includes a range of pure and applied human-centred research themes aligned to the Defence Technology Plan and thus the needs of the MOD and the wider defence community.
